WINNIPEG — Winnipeg Police swarmed the 600 block of Maryland Street Monday morning.
Officers surrounded a home in the area where they believed a male wanted on an outstanding warrant was inside. They received a tip that indicated the suspect may have access to firearms.

After multiple attempts to contact the male inside the home, officers were successful shortly before 2 p.m.

The Tactical Support Team entered the home a short time later and took the suspect into custody.
The suspect’s name and the nature of the warrant have not been released.
