LOWER SACKVILLE, NS – Halifax District RCMP and Halifax Regional Police are investigating a rash of thefts from mailboxes.

On Wednesday, Canada Post alerted Halifax District RCMP that a number of mailboxes had been broken into over the past eight days. Police say culprit(s) used vice grips to pull the tumbler mechanism out of the locks to get inside each of the mailboxes. Once inside the mailboxes, the thieves stole the parcels.
