VERNON — An early morning stabbing in front of a Vernon elementary school has landed a 32-year-old man behind bars.

Police aren’t releasing many details about the incident as the investigation is in its early stages, but say the stabbing happened at around 4:30 – 5:00 a.m. in front of Ellison School.
The 32-year-old victim had surgery yesterday, but RCMP say he is expected to make a full recovery. The suspect is expected to appear in court today.
Police say this wasn’t a random attack and the victim and suspect knew each other.
