EDMONTON – A local family is asking for your help to find a stolen locket, which holds the ashes of their infant son, who passed away at birth in 2011.
Police were called to a break and enter at a home in the area of 60 Street and 18 Avenue in the Mill Woods area on Friday, May 22. They believe the random break-in happened around 11 a.m.
Acting Sgt. Jerrid Maze said jewellery was specifically targeted, but the family isn’t concerned with the other missing pieces.
“The locket is very, very important to the family,” said Sgt. Maze.
“The family is asking for the assistance of everyone in the city of Edmonton to find it.”
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the EPS non-emergency complaint line at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
