Prince Albert, Sask. police identify injured man

UPDATE: Youth charged in Prince Albert, Sask. assault

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – Police have identified an injured man found in Prince Albert, Sask. on the weekend. Around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, officers found the unresponsive man in the 400-block of 5th Avenue East.

The aboriginal male suffered injuries that required medical attention.

Parkland Ambulance were called to the scene. Paramedics transported the man to Victoria Hospital and he was later transferred to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon in serious condition.

Police released a photo of distinct Adidas shoes the victim was found wearing to help identify him.

Police continue to investigate.
