SASKATOON – Four people from Quebec are facing charges after a drug bust in Saskatoon. The four were arrested following an investigation by the integrated drug enforcement street team (SIDEST).

The suspects were nabbed after police pulled over a vehicle early Tuesday morning at 21st Street and Avenue M South. Officers had spotted people in a rental vehicle making numerous stops they say were consistent with drug transactions.

A search of the vehicle turned up 12.36 grams of packaged cocaine, 15.8 grams of marijuana and around $5,000 in cash.

Search warrants were then executed at two rooms at a hotel located in the 600-block of Spadina Crescent. Police seized approximately 39.7 grams of cocaine, packaging commonly used in the drug trade, prepaid credit cards and two credit card readers.

Three men, 23, 25 and 27, and a 21-year-old woman have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana and proceeds of crime.
