SASKATOON – A man is facing drug trafficking charges after Saskatoon police made a meth bust. The bust Wednesday on Clarence Avenue happened after a joint police investigation.

Police say the driver had $475 on him and a search turned up 27.14 grams of crystal meth along with drug trafficking paraphernalia.

A search of the area turned up two small packages of meth totalling 6.69 grams. Police believe the driver threw the packages out of the vehicle before he was arrested.

Along with drug trafficking charges, the 43-year-old Saskatoon man is facing a charge of proceeds of crime and two breach of probation charges. His name has not been released.

He is scheduled to appear in provincial court on Thursday.
