TORONTO – Air Canada has announced it will soon start tagging all carry-on cabin luggage to meet size standards.
The new policy will roll out at Air Canada terminals at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport next Monday and other airports across the country next month.

The tagging process involved staff being stationed at the gate to make sure carry-ons meets the size and dimension rules.

Bags that do not meet standards will be forced to pay a $25 checked bag fee.
The announcement comes as the busy summer travel season heats up.
