VANCOUVER – Fans from around the world are arriving in Vancouver for the kickoff of U2’s world tour, Innocence + Experience.
People have travelled from Australia, Chile, France and the United States, to name a few.
Some fans have already been lining up outside Rogers Arena for the release of the final general admission tickets and to hopefully catch a glimpse of the band members as they enter and exit the venue.
Bassist Adam Clayton came out to greet fans around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. He stuck around to sign some autographs:
The band was also rehearsing at the Pacific Coliseum last week:
U2 is set to hit three Canadian cities on their tour – Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto.

“We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two and have some fun playing with the idea of innocence and experience,” Bono said on the band’s website.
U2 will play Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on May 14 and 15; Montreal’s Bell Centre on June 12 and 13; and Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on July 6 and 7.
U2 is obviously hoping for a complete recovery by lead singer Bono, who was hurt in a bicycle accident in New York City last month.
