WATCH: Robert Libman talks about his nomination for the Conservative Party in Mount Royal
MONTREAL — Robert Libman is the Conservative Party’s new candidate in the riding of Mount Royal.
The riding has been a Liberal stronghold since 1940, but Libman said he believes he’s the man that will make the tables turn in favour of his party.
Those are some things you know about Robert Libman, the politician.
But did you know he is also an architect?
1. He’s a fan of Sin City
Las Vegas, Nevada is Libman’s favourite vacation spot. “It’s another world,” he mentioned. “My wife and I do Vegas once a year for four days.”
2. He probably knows more baseball than you
If he weren’t a politician, he’d be a professional sports player. “My dream job was to be a player or a manager for a Major League baseball team,” he confessed. “I’m a Red Sox fan, and of course, a Montreal Expos fan.” Libman said he still plays in a softball league as a hobby, but has had to slow down due to a shoulder surgery.
3. He is a cartoonist
As an architect, Libman can’t deny his artistic abilities. “I used to draw cartoons of my classmates,” he revealed.
4. Sundays can be rowdy at his home
You will likely find Libman watching NFL football with his family on Sundays, along with his wife and three sons.
But this is not a typical family. “I am a Broncos fan, one of my sons is a Dolphins fans, the other is a Jets fan, as is my wife, and the youngest one is a Saints fan,” he said.
5. His guilty pleasure is chocolate milk
Or a bite off a chocolate bar.
