Emoji joggers and tulle skirts: Spring fashion trends according to Google

People love their jogger pants, according to a new fashion trends report by Google. Google

TORONTO — Emoji sweatshirt, anyone? How about some emoji joggers? A Spring 2015 Fashion Trends Report put out by Google says that’s what people want. Believe it or not, the emoji joggers were actually the top most-searched pant style, seeing a nearly 60,000 per cent increase in searches from January 2014 to 2015.

Google analyzed more than six billion searches in the U.S. to come up with its findings.

On the slightly more refined side of the spectrum, ladies seem smitten with skirts made of tulle, the fabric most commonly seen on tutus, wedding gowns and Sex and the City‘s Carrie Bradshaw. And based on the “How to Make,” and “DIY” search terms associated with it, women who want to give tulle a try are getting crafty.

The most popular colours for tulle skirts are black and white, so if you want to stand out from the crowd you may want to opt for a pop of colour. Here’s some inspiration:

Oh, and remember that whole debate over the colour of the dress? Well, if the 215,406 per cent jump in searches for  “blue and black dress” is any indication, that camp may have won.
