SASKATOON – Global Saskatoon has been recognized for digital news excellence.
The globalnews.ca/saskatoon team was presented with the Digital Media Award for overall excellence in the quality of its daily online or mobile news reporting at the RTDNA Prairie regional awards on Saturday, April 25.

Also at the awards ceremony, station manager and news director Lisa Ford was honoured with a lifetime achievement award. The award is given out to individuals who distinguish themselves through outstanding service and continued excellence in their broadcast journalism career.
Lisa was recognized for her dedication as a leader in the newsroom and for her guidance, assistance and support. Lisa has given many established journalists across North America their start in the business and the confidence they need to succeed.

RTDNA Canada honours the best programs, stations and news gathering organisations in radio, television and digital. The awards were handed out in Saskatoon at the Prairie Regional Awards Banquet on Saturday.
