HALIFAX – Police are asking for the public’s help to find an urn that was stolen from a vehicle in Halifax last week.
On Friday, police responded to a report from a woman that her car had been broken into while it was parked in her driveway on Sumac Lane. Several items were stolen, including an urn containing a family member’s ashes.
Police say the urn is greyish-blue in colour and about 10 inches tall and four inches wide.
A Chinese painting in a grey metal frame was also stolen. Police say it measures 30 inches by 14 inches and has white matting.
Anybody with information is asked to call Halifax Regional Police or Crimestoppers.
