TORONTO – Police are investigating reports of falling glass after a balcony railing shattered on King Street West.

Officers were called to 478 King St. W., between Brant Street and Spadina Avenue, shortly after 12 p.m. after witnesses reported seeing falling glass and debris from the balcony of a condominium.

A Toronto resident posted a picture to Twitter of a pane of glass that fell off a balcony near the King and Spadina intersection.

In a message posted to Twitter, police said the glass panels have been checked and appear secure and the area is now deemed safe.
