TORONTO – A Pakistani man accused of planning to blow up the U.S. consulate in Toronto will have to stay in custody pending a deportation hearing.
Jahanzeb Malik, 33, is scheduled to appear again before the Immigration and Refugee Board next month. Immigration and Refugee Board member Harry Adamidis ordered Malik to remain in custody as he deemed him a danger to the public and unlikely to appear at future hearings.
