TORONTO — The world is about to go mad.
An explosive new trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road was released Tuesday and it offers an extended look at one of the season’s most highly anticipated releases.
“As the world fell, each of us in our own way was broken,” Max declares.
“It was hard to know who was more crazy: Me or everyone else.”

Tom Hardy steps into the title role Mel Gibson originated in 1979’s Mad Max and reprised in two sequels.
Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are among the film’s other stars.
The cast also includes some famous offspring — Riley Keough (daughter of Lisa Marie Presley) and Zoë Kravitz (daughter of musician Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet).
Judging by the trailer, the real stars of Fury Road are behind the scenes, including the stunt performers and visual effect artists.
Fury Road was directed and co-written by Australia’s George Miller, 70, who helmed the original as well as 1981’s Mad Max 2 and 1985’s Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
It has been a long journey for Fury Road, which was shot in Namibia in the summer of 2012. The film underwent reshoots in late 2013 and will have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14 — a day before it opens in theatres.
