Brewer scores OT winner, Bozak has hat trick as Leafs edge Ottawa

TORONTO – Eric Brewer scored in overtime as the Toronto Maple Leafs edged the Ottawa Senators 4-3 Saturday at Air Canada Centre.

Tyler Bozak had a hat trick for the Maple Leafs (28-42-6), who snapped a seven-game skid.

Mark Stone, Curtis Lazar and Kyle Turris supplied the offence for the Senators (37-25-12), who fell behind the Boston Bruins for the second wild-card position in the Eastern Conference after Boston beat the New York Rangers earlier in the day.

James Reimer, who came into the game 10-3-1 in his career against the Senators, stopped 22-of-25 shots. Craig Anderson made 27 saves for Ottawa.

The 33-year-old Anderson was making just his third start since Jan. 21 after watching rookie Andrew Hammond go 14-1-1 in his place.

Stone opened the scoring 4:25 into the second period after taking a feed from former Maple Leaf Clarke MacArthur. Stone beat Reimer blocker side with a wrist shot for his 19th of the season.
