The wrong-way driver, 25, survived and is expected to be charged with impaired driving causing death as well dangerous driving causing death, said Sgt. Claude Denis of the Sûreté du Québec.
The dead man was ejected from his vehicle.
“We can’t yet make any conclusions as to whether he was wearing his seat belt,” Denis said of the fatality.
Both westbound lanes of Highway 30 remained shut at 7:45 a.m., Denis said; westbound traffic near the Highway 10 intersection was diverted along the 30’s service road.
