MONTREAL — Gaz metro workers were on the scene after a gas leak was detected in the Plateau early Friday morning.

The leak was reported at around 5 a.m.

Marie-Anne Street has been closed between St. Denis and St. Hubert and homes in the area have been evacuated.

According to reports, a gas line was cut by snow-removal vehicles.
