A spokeswoman for flight operator Air Georgian says the captain of the twin-engine Bombardier CRJ opted to land out of an abundance of caution. She says the electrical problem turned out to be minor.

Flight 7316 left Raleigh-Durham International Airport in Morrisville, N.C., at around 11:15 a.m. and was due at Toronto Pearson International Airport just after 1 p.m.

WJAC-TV reports a maintenance crew is being flown in to make repairs before the plane takes off for Toronto.
