Police in Dawson Creek are investigating after a man was allegedly abducted and shot multiple times.

While attending a hospital for an unrelated matter in the early morning hours on Saturday, officers located a 26-year-old man who had been shot multiple times outside the hospital emergency entrance.

Police say the man had been abducted near the intersection of 102nd Avenue and 17th Street in Dawson Creek between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and midnight on Feb.20.

They say the man was abducted by multiple suspects and was forced into a pickup truck by the parking lot of Bergeron Funeral Home.

The man was then taken to a rural location, where he was shot multiple times.

Investigators say the victim managed to drag himself back to a roadway and was picked up and brought to hospital.
