TORONTO – Police have found the car they believe was involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Moss Park early Wednesday morning.
The car, a four-door 2012 Acura TL, was located with the assistance of Honda Canada and seized, police said in a press release.
Police did not say whether anyone had been arrested.
Sue Pac, 58, was struck and killed when walking along Sherbourne Street near Dundas Street East shortly after 1 a.m. on Wednesday. Witnesses told Global News the car initially slowed down but never stopped.
“He paused and he kept going. I ran after the car and when he saw me coming, he was at the light, and he just kept going,” Jordan, a witness to the accident, said.
Police said Wednesday that pieces of the vehicle were left behind having fallen off the car during the collision.
Police are asking anyone with information to call investigators or Crime Stoppers.
