Brohm back with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Blue Bombers re-sign quarterback Brian Brohm. Canadian Football League

WINNIPEG — The Blue Bombers will have all four of their quarterbacks back from last season after the club announced free agent Brian Brohm had re-signed with the team.  Drew Willy, Robert Marve and Josh Portis are already under contract for the 2015 season.

Brohm joined the team prior to last season after being acquired in a trade with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats beating out Max Hall for the backup job in training camp.  Brohm started one game in 2014 and came on in relief in three other games.  In all he completed 39 of his 70 passes for 454 yards before suffering a season ending hand injury.

“Continuity, rhythm and familiarity are all very important at the quarterback position,” said Blue Bombers General Manager Kyle Walters through a media release. “Brian continues to grow as a quarterback in our league, he is very well respected in our locker room, and most importantly, he’s trusted to go in and succeed when called upon. We are very pleased to have him remain with our organization.”
