Person injured during stabbing near Brampton school

TORONTO – A person was seriously injured Thursday afternoon during a stabbing near a school in Brampton.

The attack happened on Father Tobin Road near Lougheed Middle School at nearby Batsman Park in Brampton. The school is located near the intersection of Sandalwood Parkway East and Bramalea Road.

The victim’s injuries are considered life threatening.

Peel school board officials confirmed Thursday afternoon the victim of the stabbing was not a student.

Police are investigating and have not released any information on suspects.
