HALIFAX – Halifax police have charged another man and woman in connection to the murder of Catie Miller.
Kelly Amanda MacDonald, 33, of Lawrencetown and George Edward Hubley, 30, of Sheet Harbour were arrested Wednesday morning.
They arrived in Dartmouth court Thursday morning.
MacDonald faces charges of first degree murder and indecently interfering with a dead human body.
Hubley faces charges of accessory to the murder after the fact and indecently interfering with a dead human body.
Another man, Jason James Johnson, has been charged with first degree murder and indecently interfering with a dead body.
Police said MacDonald and Hubley were known to Johnson but not to Miller.
Johnson was remanded into custody and will appear in court February 3.
Miller was last seen in Dartmouth on July 15. Investigators also believe she died that day.
Court records show police believe she was killed in Hants County and her remains were interfered with in Halifax Regional Municipality.
Police announced Wednesday afternoon that investigators in the Miller case had located human remains but its identity has not yet been confirmed.
Investigators held four scenes Wednesday as they searched for evidence: two locations in Lawrencetown, one in Port Dufferin and one in Goffs near the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Police said they are not revealing the exact location of where the remains were found.
