Numerous outside agencies and volunteers were notified and began searching Saturday morning. RCMP say an aerial search was not plausible due to “blustery” weather conditions.

Around 10:40 a.m., the missing hunter had returned safely to his cabin. He had spent the night hunkered down, was able to start a fire and stayed put until daylight, when he located another hunting cabin where individuals took him back to his cabin.

The man was cold, but had no medical issues.
