REGINA – Improvements have been made to Saskatchewan’s Highway Hotline and more are on the way.

One is a new travel planning route locator that should make planning easier and more efficient.

It will allow drivers to view live snapshots of road conditions along the top 16 frequently travelled highways

There is also an update version of the mobile website which recognizes the device being used.

Another upgrade is a bulletin ribbon for emergency situations.

Future enhancements will include an alert icon for events such as floods and a tool for shippers which will indicate emergency vehicle weight, width and other restrictions at specific locations.
