LGFW designer profile: Amanda Lew Kee

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, fashion designer Amanda Lew Kee‘s love for fashion started at a young age.

She fine-tuned her skills at Ryerson University, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Design in Fashion.

She showed her premiere collection as a student at Mass Exodus 2010: In Bloom’s Press and Media showing at Ryerson, and afterwards won Flare Magazine’s student editorial competition.

Quickly after Lew Kee was invited to show her Spring-Summer 2011 at LGFW in October 2010.

Lew Kee is one of Canada’s youngest up-and-coming designers.

At her sophomore runway show extra rows of seating had to be set up to accommodate her fans.

The stylish designer walks the walk, and was named one of 2010’s best dressed by the Toronto Star.

Lew Kee will present her Spring-Summer 2012 collection at LGFW on Tuesday October 18.
