VERNON — RCMP are considering a fire that completely destroyed what is reportedly an old barn on Kalamalka Lake Road in Vernon suspicious.
Fire crews were called to the scene shortly before 11 o’clock on Saturday night.

Officials say there was an older house on the property that was not affected by the fire.
A cause has yet to be determined and the fire department says the investigation is ongoing.
Neighbours say the home where the fire broke out hasn’t been occupied for the past couple of months.
Vernon has been dealing with numerous suspected arsons since this spring.
