TORONTO – There could be commuter chaos in the Greater Toronto Area at the end of the month.
The union representing GO Transit bus drivers and some York Region Transit drivers has announced a strike deadline of Oct. 24.

That’s when employees will be able to walk off the job, after the Ontario Labour Board gave the green light on Monday.
The possible strike involves GO Transit bus drivers employed by Metrolinx and York Transit drivers employed by Miller Transit and First Student Canada.
GO trains and other York buses would not be affected.
Union spokesman Ray Doyle says one of the issues is employee pay raises.
