TORONTO – Police released security footage Tuesday in hopes it might aid their search for six men believed to have beaten a teen boy into a coma.
Police say the 17-year-old victim got out of a taxi on York St. just south of Queen St. on August 3 at approximately 1:30 a.m. when he was viciously attacked by six men.
Police say the suspects began punching, kicking and stomping on the boy’s head.
He was taken to hospital and eventually fell into a coma.
The men fled and split up with three of them last seen going northbound in a taxi on University Ave.
Police suggest all six suspects are between the ages of 18 and 25 years old.
Police are asking anyone with information to call police at 416-808-5200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477.
