For the first time in decades, the city of Mississauga will have a new mayor – “Hurricane” Hazel McCallion is retiring after 36 years as mayor.
Bonnie Crombie has defeated Steve Mahoney in the mayoral race after being neck-and-neck throughout the campaign. However, a recent endorsement of Crombie from McCallion gave the city councillor a lift in polling.
