OSHAWA, Ont. – A 32-year-old Oshawa man is facing multiple charges after police say another man was slashed with a machete.
Police say a man was at a friend’s home on Monday morning when the suspect stepped out of a basement bedroom swinging a machete at a dog, hitting the dog several times.
The suspect then swung the machete at the man, hitting him on the arm.
The man and his friend ran from the house and the suspect left before police arrived.
He was arrested a short time later, while the 24-year-old man who was slashed was taken to hospital where he was treated for serious injuries.
Daniel Gunn is facing a string of charges that include aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of weapons dangerous.
