 RCMP are searching for a 31-year-old man in connection to two robberies in Kelowna.

On Wednesday just before 11 a.m., a suspect produced a knife and demanded cash from the bartender in the lounge of the Capri Hotel.

An undisclosed amount of money was given to the suspect, who then fled on foot.

Early Thursday morning just after 4 a.m., a man demanded money from a clerk at the 711 store on Gordon and Bernard.

The clerk complied; no weapon was produced.

Police investigation revealed the same man had committed both robberies.

RCMP are now searching for Kevin Lee Doherty, who is described as a white male, 5’9″ tall with light brown hair and brown eyes.

Doherty has a Celtic tattoo on his right wrist and scars on his left wrist.
