HALIFAX – Ernst & Young has been chosen to examine administrative and support services at Nova Scotia’s nine district health authorities and at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax.
The firm has been asked to help the health authorities find savings and operate more efficiently in 13 areas where services can be shared.

The three-month study will cost $98,000.
Health records, human resources, finance and food services are among the areas that will be examined.
Health officials say more than $243 million is spent on such administrative areas across the health authorities.
