TORONTO – Doug Ford’s morning press conference meant to discuss John Tory’s transit plan was momentarily derailed by a citizen who blasted Ford for putting out “ridiculous ideas that nobody can afford.”
“Most people, they don’t have the time to learn and read the actual underlying economic figures behind your plan and understand that they’re false,” Phil Pothen, an environmental lawyer told the mayoral candidate Monday morning. “You draw a picture on a map, and then you tell people, you expect people to believe that that’s a plan.”
He also criticized Ford for voting against bike lanes, and asked him where he “got the gall to lie so blatantly.”
The mayoral candidate refused to speak to him. Despite that the lawyer continued to yell about Ford being untrustworthy during his press conference.
