TORONTO – Samsung has confirmed its recently unveiled Galaxy Note Edge smartphone, which has a curved screen along one edge of the device, will be released in Canada.
When the phone was announced alongside the Galaxy Note 4 earlier this month it wasn’t clear if the device would be released in the Canadian market.

Paul Brannen, senior vice president of mobile for Samsung Canada, says the phone will hit Canada a little later than the U.S. in order to incorporate LTE carrier aggregation technology, which allows for faster connection speeds.
The novel curve along the edge of the Galaxy Note Edge smartphone creates a separate area of the screen that can be used for displaying notifications, shortcuts to apps and other functionality.
