Man charged with first degree murder in North York stabbing

TORONTO – A 43-year-old man has been charged with first degree murder in the stabbing death of a 56-year-old man in North York Sunday night.

The victim, San Tai Yuan, was found by police at 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 14 in the Don Mills Road and Van Horn Avenue area.

Police say a post-mortem examination revealed the cause of death was a result of “sharp-force injuries”.

The accused, Zhebin Cong, was taken into custody on Sunday and has since been charged with first degree murder.
