Selena Gomez, Orlando Bloom to appear at We Day events

TORONTO — Selena Gomez, Joe Jonas and Orlando Bloom will be among the special guests at We Day youth events in Vancouver and Toronto next month.

The Toronto event will include appearances by Jonas and Queen Noor of Jordan as well as Big Sean, Hedley, Chris Hadfield, Lights, Kardinal Offishall, Katie Couric, Nelly Furtado, R5, Shawn Desman, Karl Wolf and Neverest.

In Vancouver, Gomez and Bloom will be joined by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Shawn Mendes, Mariana’s Trench and Victoria Duffield as well as Desman, Wolf and Offishall.

We Day will be held Oct. 2 at the Air Canada Centre and Oct. 22 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

We Day, an initiative of Free The Children that began in Toronto in 2007, features entertainers and speakers who engage and inspire young people to make a difference in their communities and the world.

Free The Children is the charitable organization founded by brothers Craig and Marc Kielburger.

We Day events will also take place Oct. 29 in Winnipeg, Nov. 3 in Calgary, Nov. 7 in Saskatoon, Nov. 20 in Waterloo, Ont., Nov. 28 in Halifax and March 24 in Montreal. Guest line-ups will be announced shortly.

Similar events are scheduled for Minnesota, California, Seattle and the U.K.
