KRONAU – One person is dead after a house fire in the Kathrinthal Colony northeast of Kronau, Saskatchewan.
White Butte RCMP responded to the scene just before 2 a.m. Saturday, where one person was trapped inside the home.

An autopsy has been scheduled to confirm the person’s identity.
Mounties say the fire started in a bedroom and more than half the house is now gutted.
RCMP are working with Regina’s Major Crime and Forensic Identification Unit to determine the cause of the fire.
