LA RONGE, Sask. – A woman is facing charges after a fire destroyed a cabin south of La Ronge, Sask. late Sunday evening.
RCMP were alerted to the cabin fire at Potato Lake around 11:30 p.m.

Mounties and conservation officers went to the cabin the following morning to find it gutted.
Witnesses identified a woman as a possible suspect and the 28-year-old Lac La Ronge Indian band member was located and arrested.

She has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in La Ronge provincial court on Oct. 20. Her name is not being released until formal charges have been sworn.
La Ronge is about 345 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
