CALGARY – The City of Calgary is asking people how they feel about the hours of operation for Shaw Millennium Park.
The park, located on 9th Ave and 11th St S.W., is North America’s largest free outdoor skate park, and offers more than 75,000 square feet of skateable surfaces.
It is normally open 24-7, however, from September 2013 to June 2014 the park temporary operated under regional hours closing at 11 p.m. and opening at 5 a.m. daily.
City officials have launched an online survey so people can give feedback about which park hours they prefer.
Officials are expecting to have a final decision made in the fall of 2014.
Millennium Park opened 14 years ago, and has over 35,000 visitors a year.
