EDMONTON – Spruce Grove/Stony Plain RCMP have laid attempted murder charges after a 43-year-old woman was stabbed inside a home in Spruce Grove Monday.
Around 3:30 a.m., officers were called to a disturbance at a residence.
Police found a 43-year-old woman who had been stabbed, and identified and arrested a suspect at the scene.
Paramedics treated the woman and took her to hospital where she is recovering from her injuries.
Police have charged the suspect with attempted murder. He will make his first appearance in Stony Plain Provincial Court on August 20.
Officers say the victim and the suspect know each other.
