Police requesting assistance in Scarborough assault investigation

TORONTO – Police are seeking the public’s help after a motorist was assaulted with a weapon in Scarborough.

The incident happened Wednesday at 2 p.m. near the intersection of Lawrence Ave. East and Scarborough Golf Club Rd.

Police say there was a dispute between a 21-year-old driver and another motorist.

It is reported the motorist stopped his vehicle, approached the 21-year-old and sprayed him in his face with an unknown substance.

The 21-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, causing damage to parked cars in the area.

Police say the man fled the scene in a white Audi.

He is described as white, approximately 30-years-old with a scruffy brown beard.

The suspect was last seen wearing a plaid shirt and shorts.
