Girl, 3, dies in hospital after being hit by vehicle

SASKATOON – A 3-year-old girl struck by a motor vehicle on a Saskatchewan First Nation passed away in hospital Friday morning.

The pedestrian collision happened Tuesday evening at a residential property on the Mosquito First Nation, located about 30 kilometres south of Battlefords.

The 3-year-old victim was airlifted to a Saskatoon hospital with life-threatening injuries.

RCMP say she died as a result of the injuries she received from a collision.

Investigators say alcohol is not a factor in the collision.

No determination has been reached on whether charges will be laid.
