TORONTO — Actor Orlando Bloom allegedly took a swing at Canadian pop star Justin Bieber during an altercation early Wednesday morning at a club in Ibiza.
According to eyewitness reports, the 37-year-old Lord of the Rings star tried to punch the 20-year-old pop star after Bieber made a rude comment about Bloom’s ex, model Miranda Kerr.
Bloom and Kerr, who have a son together, separated in early 2013 after three years of marriage.
In April, Bloom was photographed with Bieber’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez.
According to reports, Bloom and Bieber were at Cipriani in Ibiza, Spain when Bloom rebuffed a handshake from Bieber. The singer then allegedly said “something rude” about Kerr.
A heated exchange followed, according to reports. Whether Bloom’s punch made contact with Bieber is subject to differing accounts.
A video recorded shortly after the altercation shows Bloom walking away from Bieber and then turning around to confront him. The two men are separated by others.
According to one report, Bieber later tweeted a photo of Kerr but quickly deleted it.
