TTC investigating after bus runs red light, swerves to avoid pedestrian

TORONTO – The Toronto Transit Commission is investigating after a bus was caught on camera running a red light and nearly striking a pedestrian at a crosswalk.

The video was recorded on a dash cam and posted on YouTube July 21.

The description in the post said the incident happened on Monday around 9:15 a.m. at the intersection of Ionview Road and Eglinton Avenue,  even though the time stamp indicates the year 2012.

“I thought she was going to die there,” a person in the vehicle is heard saying.

The TTC says the video was recorded on Monday and is looking into the incident.

There’s no word yet on any disciplinary actions with regards to the driver.
