Veteran award-winning journalist Sean Mallen rejoined the Global National family in April 2011, this time as its Europe Bureau Chief based in London.

His first tenure at Global National started in 2001, when he was a senior correspondent. During this time, Sean reported on major international stories, such as the 2004 Olympics in Athens and environmental disasters in the Arctic.

In 2005, Sean moved to the Ontario political beat, becoming Global Toronto’s Queen’s Park Correspondent and the host of the award-winning political affairs program, Focus Ontario.

Prior to Global National‘s launch in 2001, Sean spent years covering major news stories for the entire Global Television Network. He was based in Toronto, but his job took him across Canada and around the world, covering election campaigns, the ruins of Kosovo, giving him a grandstand seat at many fascinating events.
