LAKE COUNTRY–An Okanagan woman is about to start handing out hundreds of dollars and you could be on the receiving end.
It’s all part of of an online hidden cash game that’s taking cities across the United States, Canada, and even Europe by storm.
Alison Ruks says she’s doing it to help spread a message of gratitude and generosity.
“I want to let people know how gratitude and generosity has made me feel and changed my life and I want people to feel the same”, says Ruks.
The Lake Country woman is planning to give away $600 over the summer in the online scavenger game.
Known as the “real mommy” on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, Ruks will use those sites to leave clues as to where she has hidden the money.
You can start to follow Ruks Twitter feed here, and search for the tag under #hiddencashokanagan.
In total she will hide 10 envelopes, one roughly every week, with $60 inside for people to find.
The Okanagan’s version of the hidden cash craze will start this Saturday.
