‘Survivor’ competitor Caleb Bankston dies in railway accident

TORONTO — Survivor: Blood vs. Water competitor Caleb Bankston died Tuesday in a railway accident.

The 26-year-old was working at the Alabama Warrior Railway in Birmingham when a train reportedly derailed and killed him.

Bankston appeared on the reality competition show in early 2013 with his fiance Colton Cumbie and finished ninth.

The Federal Railroad Administration and Department of Labour’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the accident.
